This session will showcase how thoughtful onboarding—before day one—can build confidence, community, and connection. Participants will leave with practical strategies to design an onboarding program that strengthens retention and supports new educators from the very start.

What we believe: When educators feel valued, connected, and empowered, they bring that same energy to their students. An intentional commitment to creating professional experiences, from “pre-day 1” to throughout the year, affirms educators as thinkers, creators, and deciders whose professional well-being can directly influence the classroom environment and student outcomes.

This 60-minute workshop blends research, storytelling, collaboration, and reflection to help leaders:

• Deepen their understanding of the importance of the onboarding process 

• Discover ways to create this commitment in their own school culture by nurturing creativity, encouraging and modeling autonomy, and discovering every educator's values, goals, and opportunities.
